THE ELEPHANT MAN, by Bernard Pomerance
Time: 7:30pm / Sun. 2:00pm, Tickets: $15.00 / $10.00 studs / under 5 free (Group of 10+, $12 each)
The Elephant Man is a timeless, moving, and utterly astounding play that won a Tony award and every other major achievement for Best Play of 1979. Here is the true story of a remarkable man whose body, though hideously deformed, contains a remarkably sensitive, funny and intelligent being. 'Discovered' by a brilliant young doctor, Frederick Treves (played by Carl Galante), John Merrick (actor Patrick Byers) becomes the toast of society, patronized by lords, ladies, clergymen and celebrities who admired his gentleness, intelligence and deep faith. But Treves' and Merrick's belief that Merrick can become a man like any other is a dream never to be realized. Stunningly theatrical, this modern classic, laced with humor and pathos, explores the nature of courage, heroism, morality, and inner beauty. The production will be held in the EmilyAnn's newly renovated studio theatre which offers an intimate 35-seat setting. Directed by Bridget Farias and featuring favorite Wimberley and Austin actors Carl Galante, Patrick Byers, Dana Naughton, Ed Boyle, D.Heath Thompson, Alex Deleon, Laura Ray, Ariana Kahn, Jessica Sharpe, Derek Vandi, Kevin Vela, and Cyrus Mallison.

THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB
Time: 8:00pm / Sun. 2:00pm, Tickets: $10:00pm - $13.00
Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other's lives. "The Dixie Swim Club" focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of thirty-three years. As their lives unfold and the years pass, these women increasingly rely on one another, through advice and raucous repartee, to get through the challenges (men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce, aging) that life flings at them. And when fate throws a wrench into one of their lives, these friends, proving the enduring power of "teamwork", rally 'round their own with the strength and love that takes this comedy in a poignant and surprising direction.

Brazil's GRUPO DE RUA, Bruno Beltrão, artistic director
Time: 8:00pm, Tickets: $26.00
Unfettered by trends and dismissing commercialization, street dancing has officially come into its own not only as an accepted and viable art form, but as an expression that has revolutionized an entire artistic genre. What began in the streets of New York quickly spread around the world and embedded itself in Brazil— a country where beats are celebrated and dance is a generation’s second language. Bruno Beltrão launched Grupo de Rua in 1996, and the powerhouse company immediately began to capture fans across the world, competing, showcasing and bringing their distinctive brand of hip hop to new audiences. Sixteen years later, the conversation between hip hop and contemporary dance has created a new language distinctly Brazilian, and all street.

Time: 7:00pm, Tickets: $27.00 - $47.00
In The Mood is the 1940's Big Band Theatrical Swing Dance Revue that celebrates America's Greatest Generation through the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Erskine Hawkins, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra and other greats of the 1940's. Featuring a company of 19 on stage, including the In the Mood Singers and Dancers with the sensational String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra, the show's music arrangements (42 songs in all), costumes and choreography are as authentic as it gets!
IN THE MOOD takes a retro look at SWING, the music that moved the nation's spirit and helped win a war. This was the last time when all of America was listening and dancing to the same kind of music. This music and dance was performed to up-tempo big band rhythms and mellow intimate ballads, a mood was set to inspire a future filled with hope, promise and prosperity. In The Mood immerses the audience in the swing, rhythm, jazzy, brassy, sentimental, romantic and patriotic music of that important time.

SO PERCUSSION,
Time: . Tickets: $30.00
They are young, lyrical, brilliant, funky and sort of “out there.” Perhaps there is no definitive description of this modern performance ensemble. But a look at the artists that inspire them, including David Lang and John Cage, may harbor some clues as to what this NYC group is really all about. As musicians, they are downright academic in how they absorb the modern masters. But their interpretations are charged with a mandate to destroy the boundaries of their percussive instincts. For this performance, they present a new piece for two
vibraphones and two marimbas
written by composer Steve Reich, promising a melodic and totally unique musical experience.

MAIN STREET BETHLEHEM with live nativity Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Admission: $ Donation $
This Christmas, visit Bethlehem . . . in Burnet Texas . . . as the ancient city of Christ’s birth comes alive again.
Feel the anticipation of Joseph and Mary approaching the gates, urgency quickening their steps.
Pick your way through transients, peddlers, the crippled, and aged in the town’s fringe. Experience the presence of animals as they affect all aspects of life in that time . . camels, donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, and doves.
Explore the narrow streets to faint strains of ancient music and savor the smells of fresh goat butter, campfires, and hot bread. Then immerse yourself in the din of the marketplace; the revelers in the tavern, shouted insults to and from the Roman oppressors, merchants, craftspeople, taxpayers, and beggars all seeking money, or position, or revenge.
Search for the inn, only to find it full (as others did long ago). Then follow the trail to the cave where a road-weary couple has moved in with the animals, their place in God’s plan and secular history to be made secure on this night. For the child in their arms was the incarnation of God Himself, come to the world that all who would place their faith in Him might enjoy eternal fellowship in His presence..
